The factory e38 computer from factory is linked to the factory BCM and factory key to be able to start the vehicle. Without these in place the factory computer will not be able to start and run.
12volt Customs offers a VATS Security removal service for your LS2, LS3, L77 & L98 engine conversion which is needed to have your e38 ECM up and running. This service requires you to send your E38 computer to us, and we will send it back to you ready for your engine to start and run. For peace of mind and a guaranteed service by us, we offer this service on our LS test engine we have in-house to start, run and test your computer.
Furthermore the e38 computer requires "stand alone programming" to have your conversion running correctly and not having certain codes coming up, DOD (AFM) delete, tacho signal activation, thermo fan temp change, speedo calibration etc.
